5D Mark III vs. D800

btw Simon, many lab testers are on the tech side of the photography and to really know the pros and cons of these two is to see the two in field test. don't just look at lab test. here is a link to a landscape photographer's test.

You are right, you also can see the D800 shoots more sharp than Canon.
But, I just bought Mark III, so need to find a reason to justify it.

The true reason is the lens.
I think that is lot of Canon users face the problem.

The link, which you supplied for me, convinced me to cancel the purchase order of 5d mark III.
Actually, I placed order on last Friday, they plan to shipped out today. It is a good time frame to let me cancel the order.

The main concern is the noise under the shadow.

But, I already sold the mark II on last Sat. to a camera dealer, now I only have sony nex-7 to play.

I will wait until Sep. to make decision. Because, there is an international photo equipment exhibition in German. If Canon still can not catch up at that time, I will buy D800.

And then, lot of lens will be wasted. I will sell some collectible lens on ebay, but keep the most like to use one.
